Retirement certificates formally presented

Today, Prof. Dr. Martin Aeschlimann, Prof. Dr. Henning Fouckhardt and Prof. Dr. Burkard Hillebrands were formally presented with their retirement certificates by the President of the RPTU, Prof. Dr. Malte Drescher.

Prof. Dr. Martin Aeschlimann and Prof. Dr. Burkard Hillebrands will retire on December 31, 2024, while Prof. Dr. Henning Fouckhardt will leave active service on March 31, 2025.

Despite their retirement, Prof. Dr. Martin Aeschlimann and Prof. Dr. Burkard Hillebrands will remain closely connected to the university: From January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2027, they will continue to work as senior research professors and contribute their scientific expertise. Prof. Dr. Martin Aeschlimann will also continue in his role as spokesperson for the Collaborative Research Center TRR 173 “Spin+X” during this time.
