New interdisciplinary seminar: „Wahrheit in Philosophie und Naturwissenschaft“

Kaiserslautern/Landau, March 14, 2025 – The RPTU, University of Kaiserslautern-Landau, is offering a new, cross-campus seminar entitled „Wahrheit in Philosophie und Naturwissenschaft“ (Truth in Philosophy and Science) starting next semester. The course will be jointly led by Prof. Dr. Georg von Freymann (Department of Physics, RPTU in Kaiserslautern) and Prof. Dr. Ralf Becker (Institute of Philosophy, RPTU in Landau).

The focus is on the interdisciplinary examination of the concept of truth from a scientific and philosophical perspective. Students and staff will have the opportunity to combine the foundations of scientific theory with scientific approaches and discuss central questions of epistemology.

The event, which is funded by RPTU's InterAct program, is aimed at students and staff from various disciplines and promotes dialogue between the natural sciences and the humanities.
