At the beginning of September, we held a three-day group retreat in Villa Denis, in Frankenstein. The charming historic setting and the quiet surroundings created a perfect atmosphere for focused discussions on our ongoing projects and future scientific directions. We also had the pleasure of attending a workshop on Figure Design led by Fabio Crameri, communication scientist at the International Space Science Institute in Bern (Switzerland), which provided valuable insights into effective scientific visualization and colour maps usage. Moments of leisure, including walks through the surrounding forest and relaxed evenings together, provided a pleasant balance to the intensive program. Overall, the retreat offered an inspiring start into the new academic season and reinforced our team-spirit.
