The focus of our work ranges from semiconductors to mainly (ferromagnetic) metals, half metals, and other materials with bandstructures that contain magnetic and/or spin-orbit coupling induced features. We use a general dynamical approach that has been developed largely in the context of renormalized single-particle/ Keldysh-Green function approaches, but we are also interested in method development towards a better treatment of electronic correlations. Current areas of interest are:
- Many-particle theory of interacting electrons in semiconductor nanostructures and metallic clusters
- Spin-dependent dynamics in semiconductors and ferromagnets
- Spin-dependent transport
