The research of the magnetism group lies in the field of dynamical properties of magnetic systems. Our focus is on the dynamics of the magnetic spin, supplemented by studies on the fabrication and characterization of magnetic multilayers and nano structures. A central research field is spin waves and magnons as their quantized excitations; they are studied under various aspects. Our research projects reach all the way from basic physical principles to technical applications. Our applied research focuses on magnetic sensors, several projects include industrial cooperation partners.
