The German Conference of Women in Physics (Deutsche Physikerinnentagung) will be hosted from 28.09.-30.09.26 by the RPTU University Kaiserslautern-Landau at the campus in Kaiserslautern.

Registration for the conference is still open, and participants of all genders are warmly welcomed!

On Wednesday, September 30, starting at 6:00 p.m., a public evening talk will take place in the Audimax at the RPTU in Kaiserslautern, and everyone interested is cordially invited!
In her lecture titled “Fusionsenergie - die Sonne auf die Erde holen?”, Prof. Dr. Sibylle Günter from the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics in Garching and Greifswald will discuss a potential energy source of the future and explain how plasma and magnetic fields can contribute to energy production. The public evening lecture will be held in German. No registration is required.

From 28.09.-30.09.26, the scientific focus of the conference is on solid state, bio, and spin physics, as well as photonics and quantum technologies. We also welcome contributions on physics ranging from very small to very large scales in energy, time, and space, from elementary particle physics to cosmology.
The scientific program will be complemented by events on careers in industry, soft skills workshops, and opportunities to meet representatives from industry and research and to network.

The conference is conducted in English and supported by the Working Group on Equal Opportunities (AKC) of the deutsche physikalische Gesellschaft (DPG).
