It is not only known as a scientific location for innovation and technology, but is also characterized by its love for wine and a devotion to soccer. Affordable living in Kaiserslautern

Kaiserslautern attracts students with its low cost of living and comparatively affordable apartments in the immediate neighborhood of the university. As a campus university, our facilities are not spread all over the city, but are united in one location - and right in the middle, in the university living area, there are nice and, above all, reasonably sized apartments for little money. Like our green campus itself, they border directly on the Palatinate Forest. It's a great place to live and save money at the same time!

Financing your studies - scholarships, BAföG und Studierendenwerk

Studying for several years can quickly become an expensive affair, because those who study full-time usually have little time for secondary employment between the lecture hall and self-study. The RPTU therefore offers numerous scholarship programmes, advice on external foundations and funding organizations as well as further support from the Studierendenwerk. Many of our research groups also offer students the opportunity to work as research assistants, which also gives them an insight into everyday research life.
