Physics in Kaiserslautern
The Department of Physics at RPTU in Kaiserslautern focuses on fundamental and application-oriented research. This includes research fields such as modern solid-state physics for the utilization of newly discovered magnetic phenomena, optics, quantum optics, the physics of atoms and molecules, the physics of surfaces and nanostructures as well as materials physics. The department's research fields also include chemical physics, biophysics, technophysics and, in particular, the didactics of physics. Within this portfolio, key topics of the 21st century are explored and new technical paths for industry and research are identified.
The diploma degree course is coming to an end; the last enrollment was possible for the winter semester 2023/2024.
